    Dj Khaled was born on 26 November 1975 in New Orleans. His real name is Khaled Mohamed Khaled. The artist has Palestinian roots, which reflect on the lyrics and music of his songs. Khaled became interested in music when he was a teenager. However, he didn’t try to become a singer right away. For a long time, Khaled has been working as a DJ on one of the local radio stations. He used that time to acquire valuable experience and connections.

    The aspiring artist took first steps toward a stellar music career in 2004. He worked on joint projects with Fabulous and Fat Joe. The experience helped him create the first studio LP, Listennn ... Album.

    In 2006, the album reached the 12th spot on Billboard 200. Khaled woke up famous. Many fans tried to book him for private events.

    In 2007, Khaled worked with such musicians as T.I., T-Pain, Akon, Plies, Trick Daddy, Birdman, Rick Ross, Fat Joe, and Lil Wayne. Together they created a new LP, We the Best. Two singles featured in the album became very popular. “I’m So Hood” and “We Takin 'Over” reached the 19th and 28th spots on Billboard Hot 100 accordingly. The fans were going crazy about Khaled’s work.

  • During that period, Dj Khaled successfully combined the career of a rapper and radio DJ. He worked on music videos and wrote new songs. In 2007, the music video for “We Takin Over” brought him a BET hip-hop award nomination.

    In 2008, Khaled released his third LP, We Global. Its lead single "Out Here Grindin" conquered the hearts of many millions of fans. The song "Go Hard" also received great reviews. The album was recorded together with such musicians as Akon, Kanye West, Rick Ross, Ace Hood, Trick Daddy, and T-Pain.

    The artist also tried himself in business. In 2009, he became the president of one of the largest recording studios in the USA, Def Jam South.

    In 2010, Khaled recorded his fourth studio LP, Victory. The songs earned positive reviews from the fans and the critics. The album reached the 14th spot on Billboard 200. Such singles as “Fed Up”, “Put Your Hands Up”, and “All I Do Is Win” became hits. The latter went platinum in the USA. The LP was recorded together with Lil Wayne, Drake, Rick Ross, and other famous artists.

    In 2011, Khaled released a new LP, We the Best Forever. Just as his previous work, it was created together with numerous rappers. The single “Welcome To My Hood” became a hit.

    In 2012, the artist released a new LP, Kiss The Ring. It reached the fourth spot on Billboard 200 and featured a famous single “Take It To The Head”.

    The second peak of popularity came to Dj Khaled in 2017. Together with Justin Bieber, Chance The Rapper, Lil Wayne, and Quavo, he recorded a hit “I’m the One”. The single reached high spots on the UK, USA, and Canadian charts. Soon, the artist released another hit “Wild Thoughts”. It was recorded together with Rihanna. The song was featured in Khaled’s next album Grateful, which topped Billboard 200 and went platinum.

    Today, the musician is working on his next album, Father of Asahd, which is expected to be released on October 2018.
