  • Tyga – American rapper

    Tyga’s real name is Michael Ray Stevenson. He was born on 19 November 1989. The aspiring artist grew up in Compton, California. The singer’s unusual appearance is due to his heritage. Michael has Jamaican and Vietnamese blood. The family moved to Gardena when Stevenson was 11. He enjoyed rap since childhood and listened to such artists as Lil Wayne, Cam'ron, Fabolous, and Eminem. Many times, in the interviews, Michael told different stories about his childhood. Sometimes he recollected living in poverty. At other times, he talked about growing up in a rich family.

    Throughout his career, Tyga worked with such label as Young Money, Cash Money Records, and Universal Republic Records.

    The singer’s first solo album, No Introduction, came out in 2008. For a debut LP, it was immensely popular. The lead single “Diamond Life” was used by the computer game developers for Need for Speed: Undercover and Madden NFL 09. It also became a soundtrack for the movie Fighting. Another single “Deuces” climbed to the 14th spot of Billboard Hot 100 and topped Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs Chart.

    In 2009, the rapper presented a compilation album, We Are Young Money, released under Young Money Entertainment. The LP was recorded together with Lil Wayne, Lil Twist, T-Streets, Jae Millz, Mack Maine, Nicki Minaj, Short Dawg, Shanell, Drake, Gudda Gudda, and Lil Chuckee. It climbed to the 9th spot of Billboard 200. More than 500,000 copies were sold in the first week. Eventually, the album earned a gold status. At that time, many organizers wanted to book Tyga for private events.

  • In 2011, the artist was nominated for a Grammy Award for the song “Deuces”, which he recorded with Chris Brown and Kevin McCall.

    In 2012, the artist released his second studio LP, Careless World: Rise of The Last King. The promo single “Far Away”, which came out in 2011, climbed to the 86th spot of Billboard Hot 100. After the album’s release, Tyga was nominated for American Music Awards.

    The year 2013 was productive for the rapper. He released a new album, Hotel California. Then together with Rich Gang, he recorded the same-name album. The disc reached the 7th spot on Billboard 200. It sold 84,000 copies. The album featured such popular songs as "500 Degrees", "Dope", "Molly", "For the Road", and "Show You". The guest performers were The Game, Future, 2 Chainz, and Jadakiss. The same year, he recorded a song with Justin Bieber “Wait For a Minute”.

    The compilation album Young Money: Rise of an Empire came out with the labels Young Money and Cash Money in 2014. It was recorded together with Mystikal, Limp Bizkit, Nicki Minaj, Gudda Gudda, Busta Rhymes, Mack Maine, Birdman, Ace Hood, Bow Wow, Caskey, Detail, Jae Millz, Cory Gunz, and Lil Wayne. The same year, together with Drake, Justin Bieber, Kanye West, Chris Brown, and Young Thug, the artist recorded a studio album The Gold Album: 18th Dynasty.

    In 2015, Tyga and Chris Brown recorded the LP, Fan Of A Fan: The Album. It reached the 7th position on Billboard 200. The same year, Tyga started working on MTV reality show Kingin' with Tyga.

    The artist’s fifth album BitchImTheShit2 came out in 2017.
