Adam Beyer, born on May 15, 1976 in Stockholm, Sweden, is a techno DJ and producer who has become a household name in the electronic music industry. He first discovered electronic music through his older brother’s collection of disco and new wave records. Beyer quickly developed a passion for music and began DJing in clubs around Stockholm at the age of 17.
In the early 1990s, Beyer began producing his own music and releasing it on his label, Code Red. His early releases included "Pump" and "This is Code Red," which garnered attention from the techno community. He continued producing and DJing throughout the 1990s, and in 1998, he launched the influential techno label, Drumcode.
Beyer’s style is characterized by his use of minimalism, driving beats, and hypnotic loops. His music is often described as dark, intense, and uncompromising. He has collaborated with some of the biggest names in techno, including Carl Craig, Richie Hawtin, and Joseph Capriati.
