Dj Khaled was born on 26 November 1975 in New Orleans. His real name is Khaled Mohamed Khaled. The artist has Palestinian roots, which reflect on the lyrics and music of his songs. Khaled became interested in music when he was a teenager. However, he didn’t try to become a singer right away. For a long time, Khaled has been working as a DJ on one of the local radio stations. He used that time to acquire valuable experience and connections.
The aspiring artist took first steps toward a stellar music career in 2004. He worked on joint projects with Fabulous and Fat Joe. The experience helped him create the first studio LP, Listennn ... Album.
In 2006, the album reached the 12th spot on Billboard 200. Khaled woke up famous. Many fans tried to book him for private events.
In 2007, Khaled worked with such musicians as T.I., T-Pain, Akon, Plies, Trick Daddy, Birdman, Rick Ross, Fat Joe, and Lil Wayne. Together they created a new LP, We the Best. Two singles featured in the album became very popular. “I’m So Hood” and “We Takin 'Over” reached the 19th and 28th spots on Billboard Hot 100 accordingly. The fans were going crazy about Khaled’s work.
