f (x) – South Korean k-pop, electropop, and synthpop group
The South Korean group f(x) was formed in Seoul in 2009. The original lineup included five young women, Victoria, Amber, Luna, Krystal, and Sulli. But the latter left the group in 2015. Sulli was noticed in 2005 when she landed the role of Princess Seonhwa of Silla in the project Ballad of Seodong, which aired on SBS. Luna was cast in 2006, after her debut in the reality show, Truth Game. SM Entertainment noticed Victoria when she won the first prize at a dance contest in Beijing. Amber passed S.M. Global auditions in Los Angeles.
In August 2009, the group released a teaser video. Initially, f (x) was more of a pop-dance group. A little later, they presented a debut single, "LA chA TA". A few days after the release, the artists performed on the show Music Core, which aired on MBC.
