The producing duo Firebeatz was created in 2008, in the Netherlands. It consists of Tim Benjamin Smulders and Jurre van Doeselaar. They are particularly known for such songs as “I Can’t Understand” and “Helicopter”.
Firebeatz started conquering the electronic music industry ever since their formation in 2008. They manage to earn a good reputation and respect among numerous fans and professional musicians all over the world.
Tim and Jurre became friends in the Tilburg Performing Arts and Music Academy. They immediately clicked due to their similar tastes and passion for music. The young men decided to work together. In 2008, they released their first songs “Speak Up” and “We’re Going Back”. Both songs were played on many Dutch radio stations, including SLAM!FM and Radio 538.
The unique Firebeatz sound that combines unforgettable bass, grove, exciting beats, and vocal sets attracted such famous DJs as Fedde Le Grand, Roger Sanchez, and Funkerman. Thanks to their reputation, the duo was invited to many music festivals. In 2009, they performed at Rockit Festival, Free Your Mind Festival, Zomerkriebels Festival, where they managed to earn popularity and confirm their status as a successful Dutch electronic duo.
In 2010, Firebeatz signed a deal with a famous Dutch label Flamingo Recordings. Soon they started working with JoeySuki and released a hit song “Hidden Sound”. The track was supported by the famous electronic music gurus, including Swedish House Mafia, David Guetta, Chris Lake, and more. The single reached the 7th spot on the Beatport chart.
In 2011, Firebeatz released “It’s Like That 2011”, which was successful all over the world.
In 2013, the band released a single “Max Ammo”, which reached the 20th spot on Beatport chart.
In 2014, the duo released their most famous single to date “Helicopter”. It reached the 59th spot on the Netherlands Singles Chart.
The duo continues recording new songs, remixes, and performs live.
