Jesse Adam Eisenberg was born on October 5, 1983, in Queens, NY. He grew up in New Jersey. Jesse has two sisters Hallie and Kerry, who also tried acting when they were young.
In 1996, Jesse joined a popular music group The Broadway Kids and started performing in Broadway musicals. His debut performance was in Tennessee Williams’ play Summer and Smoke.
In 1999, the young actor landed a role in the TV series Get Real, where he worked with the young Anne Hathaway.
When Jesse was 16, he started writing his own screenplays. Some of them were accepted by major movie studios. However, Eisenberg couldn’t live with the fact that when the screenplays left his hands, he lost control over them.
In 2001, Eisenberg worked on three projects: the TV film Lightning: Fire from the Sky, a movie The Emperor's Club and an independent comedy-drama Roger Dodger. In the latter project, Jesse played Nick. The role brought him a prize at the film festival in San Diego.
