In 2012, the rapper presented his third mixtape, Stolen Youth.
In 2014, Vince worked on his next mixtape, Shyne Coldchain Vol. 2. He got assistance from Earl Sweatshirt, Michael Uzowuru, Childish Major, No ID, Evidence, DJ Babu, and Scoop DeVille. The album’s guests were Jhené Aiko and James Fauntleroy. Later, the rapper was invited to participate in Oxymoron World Tour.
In 2014, together with Common, Vince presented a single “Kingdom”. The song won a prize at BET Hip Hop Awards for Impact Track. At that time, many fans wanted to book Vince Staples for their private events.
In May 2015, the artist released a promotional single for his first LP, "Señorita". The second and third promotional singles were "Get Paid" and "Norf Norf". All of them turned out to be successful and so did the album, which came out in June. It got the name Summertime '06. The album was produced by DJ Dahi, Clams Casino, Brian Kidd, No I.D., Christian Rich, and Mikky Ekko. It came out with the assistance of the labels, ARTium Recordings, Blacksmith Records, and Def Jam Recordings. Singles "Lift Me Up", "Birds & Bees", "Lemme Know", "Jump Off the Roof", and "Dopeman" became hits. The album climbed to the 3rd spot of Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums Chart, came in 39th on Billboard 200 and settled on the 180th position of Belgian Albums (Ultratop Flanders).
In 2015, the musician demonstrated his acting talents. He landed a secondary role in the movie, Dope.
In 2016, he worked with Donald Glover и Jhené Aiko on the single "Waiting for My Moment". The song was nominated for Black Reel Awards as Best Original or Adapted Song.
Between 2016 and 2018, the rapper appeared in three more films, Prima Donna, Sprite, and MFKZ. In the first two, he played himself.
The artist’s second LP came out in 2017. He called it Big Fish Theory. The singles "BagBak", "Big Fish", and "Rain Come Down" became hits. The second came in 10th on Bubbling Under R&B/Hip-Hop Singles Chart. The album climbed to the 16th position on Billboard 200.
In November 2018, the rapper presented his next LP, FM! It was recorded with the assistance of Def Jam Recordings. The producers were Kenny Beats, Hagler, Cubeatz, and KillaGraham. The albums’ guests were Kamaiyah, Kehlani, E-40, Earl Sweatshirt, Jay Rock, Buddy, and Tyga. The LP climbed to the 37th spot of Billboard 200 and appeared on the charts of Australia, New Zealand, Belgium, and Ireland.
