Joe Burrow is a professional American football quarterback known for his exceptional accuracy, leadership, and poise under pressure. Born on December 10, 1996, in Ames, Iowa, Burrow grew up in a football family—his father was a college football coach—and developed his skills from a young age. After an initial stint at Ohio State University, where he struggled for playing time, Burrow transferred to Louisiana State University (LSU) in 2018.
At LSU, Burrow's career skyrocketed. In 2019, he led the Tigers to a perfect 15-0 record, culminating in a National Championship victory. His performance that season was one of the greatest in college football history, as he threw for 5,671 yards and 60 touchdowns, breaking numerous records. Burrow won the Heisman Trophy in a landslide, becoming one of the most celebrated college players of all time. Selected as the first overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft by the Cincinnati Bengals, Burrow immediately became the face of the franchise. Despite a season-ending injury during his rookie year, he returned stronger in 2021, leading the Bengals to their first Super Bowl appearance in over three decades. Known for his calm demeanor, sharp football IQ, and clutch performances, Burrow has quickly established himself as one of the NFL's elite quarterbacks. Off the field, he is admired for his philanthropy, including his efforts to combat food insecurity in his hometown of Athens, Ohio, and for his focus on mental toughness and resilience.
