Dennis Rodman, born May 13, 1961, in Trenton, New Jersey, is a retired professional basketball player known for his dominant rebounding, eccentric personality, and flamboyant style. Nicknamed "The Worm," Rodman played 14 seasons in the NBA, earning a reputation as one of the greatest defenders and rebounders in basketball history.
Rodman began his NBA career with the Detroit Pistons in 1986, where he was a key part of the "Bad Boys" teams that won back-to-back championships in 1989 and 1990. He later played for the San Antonio Spurs, Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers, and Dallas Mavericks. With the Bulls, Rodman won three consecutive NBA championships (1996–1998), playing alongside Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen. Known for his relentless hustle and defensive prowess, he led the league in rebounding for seven consecutive seasons and was a two-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year.
Off the court, Rodman became a cultural icon, known for his brightly colored hair, tattoos, and unconventional lifestyle. His friendships with world leaders, such as North Korea’s Kim Jong-un, and his forays into wrestling, acting, and diplomacy further added to his larger-than-life persona.
