  • Scottie Pippen, born September 25, 1965, in Hamburg, Arkansas, is a retired professional basketball player widely regarded as one of the greatest small forwards in NBA history. Renowned for his versatility, defense, and all-around skills, Pippen was a cornerstone of the Chicago Bulls dynasty that dominated the NBA in the 1990s.

Drafted fifth overall in the 1987 NBA Draft by the Seattle SuperSonics and traded to the Bulls, Pippen formed a legendary partnership with Michael Jordan. Together, they won six NBA championships (1991–1993, 1996–1998) and helped redefine the small forward position with their scoring, playmaking, and elite defense. Pippen was a seven-time NBA All-Star, a ten-time All-Defensive Team selection, and was named to the All-NBA First Team three times.

Pippen's versatility allowed him to guard multiple positions, run the offense, and make critical plays in clutch moments. He was also instrumental in the 1992 U.S. "Dream Team," which won Olympic gold in Barcelona, and again in 1996 in Atlanta.

Off the court, Pippen’s humble beginnings, hard work, and unselfish play made him a role model. He was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame twice—once as an individual and again as a member of the Dream Team. His legacy remains as one of the most complete and selfless players in basketball history.
