Shania Twain – famous Canadian country and pop singer.Eilleen Regina Edwards was born on 28 August 1965 in Windsor, Canada. After her parents divorced, Eilleen’s mother married one more time. Edwards and her sister were adopted by the stepfather and got his last name, Twain. The artist’s talent became obvious when she was very young. Eilleen performed on stage and wrote lyrics since she was 8 years old. When Edwards turned 25, she signed a contract with Mercury Records to record her debut LP. That’s when she adopted the pseudonym, Shania Twain. In 1993, she released the first album, Shania Twain. It featured 10 songs, only one of which was written by the singer. The album wasn’t a bit hit, but it helped Twain meet Robert Lange. The producer offered his help with upcoming albums and later became her co-author and husband.
In January 1995, Twain released the first single from her next album, "Whose Bed Have Your Boots Been Under?" The song topped Canada Country Tracks and reached the 31st position of Billboard Hot 100. For the first time, the artist’s song went gold. Many fans wanted to book Shania Twain for their private events. A month later, Shania released her second LP The Woman in Me, which made her famous. It conquered world charts, including US Top Country Albums, UK Country Albums, and Canadian Country Albums. The album reached the 5th position on Billboard 200. Eventually, the LP earned 12 platinum certifications in the USA and brought the singer a huge variety of awards.
In 1997, Twain released another hit album Come On Over. The LP reached the second position on Billboard 200 and topped 11 world charts, including UK Albums Chart. Eventually, the album earned 2 diamond certifications in the USA, and over 50 platinum certifications in other countries. The LP became the most sold country album in history. The third single from the album, "You're Still The One" Shania earned two Grammies as "Best Female Country Vocal Performance" and "Best Country Song" as well as two nominations. The album itself brought her two Grammy nominations but no prizes.

A year later, she started working on a reality show Why Not? with Shania Twain, which appeared on TV screens in 2011. A short time later, she released a new single "Today Is Your Day".
In 2015, Twain announced working on a new album. Even though it took her a long time to complete it, Now (2017) became another huge hit. In the usual manner, the LP topped Billboard 200, UK Albums, Australian Albums, and Canadian Albums. It earned a platinum certification in Canada.
