Bassjackers is a Dutch DJ and producer duo consisting of Marlon Flohr and Ralph van Hilst. They are best known for their energetic and high-octane performances, combining heavy bass drops with electro and progressive house sounds. The duo has been active since 2007 and has become one of the most sought-after artists in the electronic dance music scene.
Marlon Flohr and Ralph van Hilst met at art school in the Netherlands and quickly bonded over their shared love for music. In 2007, they decided to join forces and form Bassjackers. Their first official release was in 2009 with their track Beat Cut, which gained attention from industry heavyweights like Tiësto and David Guetta.
Since then, Bassjackers have released hits like Mush Mush, Crackin, and Derp, which have been played at some of the biggest festivals in the world, including Tomorrowland and Ultra Music Festival. Their music has also been supported by some of the biggest DJs in the world, including Martin Garrix, Hardwell, and Steve Aoki.
In addition to producing their own music, Bassjackers have remixed tracks for artists such as Rihanna, Enrique Iglesias, and Moby. They have also collaborated with other artists like Afrojack and KSHMR.
Bassjackers have toured extensively, performing at festivals and clubs around the world. Their high-energy shows have become their trademark, often featuring confetti cannons and smoke machines to enhance the party atmosphere.
In 2019, Bassjackers launched their own record label, called Smash The House, in partnership with Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike's record label of the same name. The label focuses on releasing music from up-and-coming artists in the electronic dance music scene.
