KSHMR

KSHMR is an American DJ, record producer, and musician known for his unique blend of electronic dance music (EDM) and Indian classical music. He was born Niles Hollowell-Dhar on October 6, 1988 in Berkeley, California. KSHMR began his music career as a member of the Los Angeles-based group, The Cataracs. He gained popularity with the group's hit singles Like a G6 and Bass Down Low. KSHMR left The Cataracs in 2014 and started his solo career as a DJ and producer. KSHMR's debut solo single Megalodon was released in 2014. The track became an instant hit and was supported by many prominent DJs in the EDM industry. The success of Megalodon led to more releases including Jammu, No Heroes with Firebeatz, and Secrets with Tiësto, which went on to become a massive hit.

In 2015, KSHMR was voted as the “Best New Artist” at the DJ Awards in Ibiza. He followed this up with the release of his debut EP, “The Lions Across the Field”. The EP was a tribute to his late father and featured dedicated tracks such as Dadima and Delhi.
