MORTEN is a Danish DJ and producer who started his career in the electronic dance music industry in 2008. Born Morten Breum, he has been producing and releasing tracks under the stage name MORTEN since 2013. MORTEN's interest in music started when he was a teenager. He began having DJ gigs in local clubs in Copenhagen when he was 16 years old. He then started producing music, and in 2008, he released his first single, "Højere Vildere (Skru Op For Den Bitch)." The single became popular in Denmark and helped establish MORTEN as a promising artist in the EDM industry.
After releasing a number of successful singles such as "On It," "Look Closer," and "Beautiful Heartbeat," MORTEN continued to gain worldwide attention in 2012 when he signed with PRMD Music, a record label founded by the late Swedish DJ and music producer Avicii. In 2013, he released his first track on the label, "Adumu," which quickly became a hit. He toured with Avicii on his "True" tour and also performed at several major festivals, such as Tomorrowland, Creamfields, and Ultra Music Festival.
MORTEN's music style is a blend of progressive house and electro house, which is evident in his tracks such as "Under Pressure," "San Diego," and "Keep Me From You." He is known for his high-energy performances and his ability to get crowds moving and dancing. In addition to his work as a DJ and producer, MORTEN is also an accomplished songwriter. He has written tracks for artists such as David Guetta, Steve Aoki, and Robin Thicke. In 2018, MORTEN released his debut album, "Afterglow," which featured collaborations with artists such as Ummet Ozcan, Dave Winnel, and David Guetta. The album cemented his status as a rising star in the EDM scene. MORTEN continues to tour and perform at festivals and clubs all over the world.
