  • Billie Elish’s full name is Billie Eilish Pirate Baird O'Connell. She was born on 18 December 2001 in Los Angeles. The singer has Irish and Scottish heritage. When the girl was young, she was home-schooled. Eventually, Billie began attending school at 8. At the same time, she started demonstrating an impressive musical talent. The girl sang in a school choir. The future celebrity grew up in a musical family. Her parents Maggie Baird and Patrick O'Connell wrote music, worked as actors, producers, and screenplay writers. The singer’s older brother played in a band. For him, Eilish wrote her first song when she was just 11 years old.

When Billie was 14, she recorded her debut single “Ocean Eyes”. Initially, the lyrics were written by her brother Finneas O'Connell, who wanted to use them for his band. However, later a decision was made to let Billie sing it. The official single’s release occurred in November 2016. The singer filmed a music video for the song with the support of the producer Megan Thompson. Today, the single already has four remixes, Astronomy Remix, Goldhouse Remix, Blackbear Remix, and Cautious Clay Remix.

The song came in second on the Swedish chart, settled on the 58th spot of ARIA chart, appeared on the 72nd place of the UK Singles Chart and made it into Billboard Hot 100. The track sold a million digital copies in the United States and 70,000 in Australia. It was a great success for a young singer. Many fans started trying to book Billie Eilish for private events.

  • In 2016, the artist also recorded one more single “Six Feet Under”. Even though it was appreciated by the fans, the song didn’t make it into any chart.

In August 2017, when Billie didn’t even turn 16 yet, she officially released her first EP. The young woman called it Don't Smile at Me. Besides the already popular “Ocean Eyes”, it featured other tracks, such as "Copycat", "Party Favor", "My Boy", "Hostage", "Bellyache", and "&Burn", recorded with Vince Staples. The album earned high scores from the critics. It reached the 21st spot of the Billboard 200 and settled on the 32nd position of the UK Albums Chart. The EP was also popular in many countries, making it into a dozen charts.

In the United States, the album sold 500,000. In the UK, 60,000 copies were sold. One of the singles “My Boy” appeared in the 14th episodes of a fantasy TV series, Shadowhunters.

The artist’s second EP, Up Next Session: Billie Eilish, came out in October 2017. However, it didn’t manage to become as successful as the predecessor. The EP didn’t make it into any popular charts.

The year 2018 was busy for the artist. She recorded several non-album singles, "You Should See Me in a Crown", "When the Party's Over", "Come Out and Play, and "Bitches Broken Hearts". Even though the latter didn’t become too popular, the rest of the songs turned into real hits, reaching high spots on many charts and becoming regulars on the dancefloors or European countries as well as the US, the UK, Canada, and Australia.

The same year, Billie together with a famous rapper Khalid, recorded a single for a popular teen TV series, 13 Reasons Why: Season 2. It reached the 73rd spot of Billboard Hot 100 and came in 47th on the UK Singles Chart. The song earned a variety of platinum certifications in many countries. Soon Billie went on Where's My Mind Tour.

At the end of the year, the singer recorded two new tracks, "When the Party's Over" and “Come Out And Play”. The first one earned several gold certifications.

In 2018 and 2019, Billie is performing as part of 1 by 1 Tour and recording new hits in her free time.
