  • Robbie Williams has been topping charts for several decades, releasing unique hits and performing in front of millions of fans at concerts. The talented singer was born in the UK on 13 February 1974. When he was three years old, Robbie’s parents divorced. The young man was energetic and restless, which led to bad grades in school. In 1990, when Williams was 16 years old, he joined a band called Take That. The group was formed by a famous British singer Nigel Martin-Smith. Williams was the youngest member of the band at the time. For the next five years, Robbie was honing his music skills while working with the band. Take That’s songs made it to high positions on the charts. The band traveled the world and gave concerts. Thousands of people bought tickets to see them perform. The album, Take That and Party, was called one of the best in the history of the UK music. The group also released an extremely popular compilation album, Everything Changes.

In 1995, Robbie Williams decided to change his life and pursue a solo career. Even though the band he worked with highly successful, the musician wanted to leave. However, according to the terms of the contract he signed with the BMG label, the singer didn’t have the right to start a solo career before the group falls apart. For several years, the singer was going through the rounds with court hearings. It was a tough period for Williams, who started drinking and using drugs. As soon as the legal battle was over, the singer quit and devoted himself to the solo career. He recorded an album that featured covers to George Michael’s songs. Then Robbie released the debut solo LP, which didn’t become popular immediately. The popularity and success came to Williams with the release of the single “Angels”, which was called the top hit of the past 25 years. Eventually, the debut solo album, Life Thru a Lens, also became successful, earning numerous platinum certifications in the UK. The singer’s next hit was “Millennium”, which brought Robbie several awards. After conquering the hearts of British and European fans, Williams decided to go further and signed a contract with an American label, Capitol Records. In 1999, he started working on an album for American listeners. At that time, many fans wanted to book Robbie Williams for private events. The next LP, The Ego Has Landed, reached the 63rd spot on the American charts, which was worse than the singer expected.
