Forever the Sickest Kids (FTSK) – American punk rock group

Forever the Sickest Kids is a punk group from Dallas. It began forming back in 2001 when its members were playing in other bands, such as Good Day Josif, Triumph Over Tragedy, and Committed. All of them performed at local clubs and often met each other at concerts. But eventually, all three fell apart. In 2004, Good Day Josif and Triumph over Tragedy disbanded. A few months later so did Committed.

Left without work, musicians decided to form a new band called Forever the Sickest Kids (often shortened to FTSK). The vocalist was Jonathan Cook, the guitar player – Caleb Turman, bass guitarist and vocalist – Austin Bello, and drummer – Kyle Burns. In the beginning, two more members were working with the group. Kent Garrison and Marc Stewart left in 2010 and 2012 accordingly.

In 2007, the artists signed a contract with Universal Motown Records. Soon after that, they presented the debut EP, Television Off, Party On. The same year, they recorded two more small albums, Warped Tour and Hot Party Jamz.

In April 2008, the band presented a single, "Whoa Oh! (Me vs. Everyone)", which came with a music video. Later, the song was re-released with a shortened name “Whoa Oh!”. It was recorded with the assistance of Selena Gomez. After some time, the band announced the upcoming release of its official album, Underdog Alma Mater. The LP was commercially successful and brought musicians popularity. It reached the 45th spot of Billboard 200. After its release, many fans were trying to book Forever the Sickest Kids for private events.

FTSK started giving many concerts. Their first big tour was Vans Warped Tour. Then they went to Tokyo to participate in the annual Summer Sonic Festival. At the end of September, the artists went on a small headlining tour of the UK. In June, the band announced plans for re-releasing the debut LP and presenting a deluxe edition with 12 original and 17 additional tracks.

In October 2009, musicians recorded a new single "What Do You Want from Me”. Soon, they presented a new EP, The Weekend: Friday. In December, the artists announced a tour to support You Me at Six in the UK.

In 2010, a compilation album, Punk Goes Classic Rock, came out. Forever The Sickest Kids recorded the song “Crazy Train” for it. Later they released a single "Keep On Bringing Me Down", which was featured in the EP, The Weekend: Saturday – the next part of the EP, The Weekend: Friday. In November, The Weekend: Saturday was renamed to Forever the Sickest Kids.

The album was released in March 2011 with the support of Universal Motown. It featured 11 songs, including such hits as "Keep On Bringing Me Down", "I Guess You Can Say Things Are Getting Pretty Serious", and "Robots & Aliens". A month later, the artists embarked on a headliner tour, Spring Break Your Heart, with such celebrities as Breathe Carolina, We Are the In Crowd, This Century, and Tonight Alive.

In September 2012, the band signed a contract with a new label, Fearless Records. Two months later, a new punk rock compilation album, Punk Goes Pop 5, came out. It featured FTSK’s song “We Found Love”.

In June 2013, musicians presented a new LP, J.A.C.K. It featured 11 songs, among which were such successful tracks as "Chin Up Kid", "Nice to Meet You", "Nikki", and "Keep Calm and Don't Let Me Go". In June, the band participated in the Warped Tour 2013, which lasted until 4 August. After the tour, the band seemed to go on hiatus until March 2014. At that time, one of the members, Caleb Turman announced his plans to take up a solo career. The band’s future seemed unclear.

Forever the Sickest Kids appeared again in 2017. They performed at the Grand Prairie festival. Next year, the band members celebrated the 10th anniversary of their debut album by released a limited edition of vinyl copies.

In December 2018, the band announced on Twitter, that the members were back together. In March 2019, they attended the Sad Summer Festival in Texas. Fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the next album.
