  • Tristan Paul Mack Wilds was born on 15 July 1989 in New York. Tristan decided to become an actor when he was just a boy. He started performing at the age of seven. In 2005, Wilds debuted in the drama series Miracle's Boys. He also appeared in the episodes of popular series Cold Case and Law & Order.

    In 2006, Tristan landed his first role on the big screen. It was a small part in the drama Half Nelson, directed by Ryan Fleck. The leading role in the movie belonged to Ryan Gosling, who earned an Academy Award for his performance. The same year, Wilds appeared in several music videos, including "Roc Boys", "Teenage Love Affair," and "Ghetto Mindstate". Tristan also got a part in the TV series The Wire, in which, for 23 episodes, he portrayed a smart but poor student Michael Lee.

    In 2007, together with Queen Latifah, Alicia Keys, and Dakota Fanning, Tristan performed in the drama The Secret Life of Bees. The movie was very successful and received two People's Choice Awards. Wilds earned his first nomination as Breakthrough Performance at Black Reel Awards.

    In 2008, Tristan returned to the TV and landed a role in a teen drama series 90210: New Generation. The spinoff of the extremely popular 1990’s series 90210 wasn’t as successful but still had an impressive number of fans. Wilds played one of the leading roles for 114 episodes. In 2009, that part brought him a nomination for "Choice TV Breakout Star: Male" at Teen Choice Awards. A year later, he was nominated as "Favorite TV Actor – Supporting Role" for ALMA Award. In 2012, he got two more nominations for Prism Awards.

  • In March 2009, Wilds passed the audition and started working on George Lucas’ movie Red Tails. The movie was about a group of African American pilots at the time of WWII. Tristan landed a leading role of Ray Gannon. The movie was released in 2012. A year after the release, the film earned two NAACP Image Awards and was nominated for the third one as "Outstanding Independent Motion Picture"

    While devoting his life to acting, Tristan Wilds was working on a music career. In 2010, he signed a contract with Ten2one. For his music career Wilds has chosen a pseudonym, Mack Wilds. He released several singles, including "2 Girlz", which appeared in the fourth season of 90210: New Generation. Two more songs "Fall 4 Her" and "Runaround" were recorded together with Rico Love and produced by Dre & Vidal. In the fall 2011, Mack recorded his first EP Remember Remember.

    In 2012, Wilds started working with a famous producer Salaam Remi to record his first studio album. In 2013, he released a leading single "Own It". Later that year, the LP New York: A Love Story came out. In 2014, it was nominated for a Grammy and BET Awards. Many organizers dreamed of booking Tristan Wilds for their private events.

    In 2016, Wilds appeared in a TV hip-hop drama film The Breaks under his music industry pseudonym. The TV series with the same name commenced in 2017. In April 2017, Wilds released his second studio album AfterHours.

    Tristan Wilds is currently working on new episodes of The Breaks.
