  • Khabib Nurmagomedov, born on September 20, 1988, in Sildi, Dagestan, Russia, is widely regarded as one of the greatest mixed martial artists of all time. Known as "The Eagle," Khabib gained prominence for his unparalleled wrestling skills, relentless grappling, and undefeated professional record of 29-0. Growing up in the mountainous region of Dagestan, Khabib was introduced to combat sports at a young age by his father and coach, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov, a respected figure in martial arts training.

Khabib made his debut in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in 2012, quickly rising through the lightweight division. He became UFC Lightweight Champion in 2018 by defeating Al Iaquinta and defended his title three times, notably against Conor McGregor in a historic and highly publicized fight in 2018, which ended in a fourth-round submission. Known for his dominance, Khabib never lost a single round in most of his fights, showcasing unmatched control and endurance.

In 2020, after defending his title against Justin Gaethje, Khabib announced his retirement, honoring a promise to his mother after the passing of his father. His decision to step away with an undefeated record solidified his legacy as one of the sport’s all-time greats. Outside the cage, Khabib is a devout Muslim and an advocate for discipline, humility, and respect in sports. He has since transitioned into coaching, mentoring the next generation of fighters, and managing fighters through his promotion, Eagle FC. Khabib’s story embodies resilience, loyalty, and excellence.
