    The band’s full name is Bangtan Boys. The members are Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook. BTS was formed by Big Hit Entertainment label in Seoul.

    The label began auditioning artists in 2010. The initial lineup of the boy band changed several times. The first songs were released on YouTube and SoundCloud. The group caught the attention of the music industry when it worked with 2AM on "Love U, Hate U".

    In 2012, the lineup was finalized. A year later, the group performed on the Korean TV channel project Rookie King: Channel Bangtan. At that time, they released the first successful tracks, "좋아요 (I Like It)", "Attack on Bangtan", "No More Dream", "팔도강산 (Satoori Rap)", "We On", "N.O", and "If I Ruled the World". The band didn’t become popular beyond South Korea immediately. But the songs made it into the local charts. Later that year, BTS worked with Jo Kwon, Lim Jeong Hee, and Joo Hee of 8eight to record a single "Perfect Christmas".

    In 2014, the group worked on TV projects American Hustle Life on Mnet and BTS GO! on Mnet America. The same year, they recorded a debut LP, which in South Korea got the name Dark & Wild. The album was also released for the Japanese audience. That version was called Wake Up. To support the LP, BTS went on a 2014 BTS Live Trilogy-Episode I: The Red Bullet tour.

  • Songs "Danger", "War of Hormone (호르몬 전쟁)", "Let Me Know", "Rain", featured in the album, became hits. The first one reached the 7th spot on Billboard World Digital Songs Chart. The second single climbed to the 11th position. The album itself reached the 2nd spot of South Korea Gaon Album Chart. It also came in third on Billboard World Albums Chart and 27th on Top Heatseekers. It was a big success for the young artists. The same year, they worked with Thanh Bui (North) to record "Danger (MO-BLUE-MIX)". At that time, many organizers tried to book BTS for private events.

     BTS spend 2015 touring the world. The artists went on a Japanese tour called First Japan Tour-Wake Up: Open Your Eyes. Then they proceeded to 2015 BTS Live Trilogy Episode II: The Red Bullet tour and finished with The Most Beautiful Moment in Life On Stage. All concerts were impressively successful.

     In 2016, BTS presented the second LP. For the South Korean audience, it got the name Wings. In Japan, it was called Youth. The LP topped South Korean Albums Chart and US World Albums Chart. It came in 26th on Billboard 200 and 9th on US Independent Albums Chart. The album appeared in the charts of New Zealand, Scotland, Canada, Belgium, Norway, and many other countries. To support the album, BTS embarked on The Most Beautiful Moment in Life on Stage: Epilogue tour.

     In 2017, the artists arranged another set of concerts called 2017 BTS Live Trilogy Episode III: The Wings Tour. It was the final part of the trilogy.

     In 2018, the group officially released their third LP Love Yourself: Tear (for South Korea) and Face Yourself (for Japan). To support the LP, BTS went on a world tour called BTS World Tour: Love Yourself. The album topped Estonian Albums, Japan Hot Albums, South Korean Albums, US Billboard 200, US Independent Albums, and US World Albums Chart. It climbed to high spots on the European charts as well. The singles "DNA", "Fake Love", and "Idol" earned gold statuses in the USA.

     The year 2018 was very busy for the group. They worked on Mnet TV project Run BTS! and on Burn the Stage. The same year they recorded a single “Don’t Leave Me” for the album Signal OST.

     BTS is working on new songs and performing live.
