B.A.P was formed in 2012 in Seoul with the support of the recording company, TS Entertainment. Today, the lineup includes 5 members, Himchan, Youngjae, Zelo, Daehyun, and Jongup. The 6th vocalist, Yongguk, left the band in 2018 after his contract was over.
In January 2012, TS Entertainment funded a reality show, Ta-Dah, It's B.A.P on SBS MTV. The efforts to promote the group led to excellent results. Soon, the band released a single album, Warrior, which immediately reached the 3rd spot of South Korea Gaon Album Chart. It was a great success for the young boy band.
Between February and April 2012, the group released three singles and an album. Singles "Warrior", "Secret Love", and "Power", reached the 44th, 132nd, and 38th spots of South Korea Gaon Digital Chart accordingly. In April, the band presented a single album, Power, which came in second on the South Korean official albums chart.
In July 2012, the musicians released their first EP, No Mercy, which reached the 3rd position of South Korea Gaon Album Chart. The album was re-released in August. The third single album, Stop It, appeared in October 2012. It came in third on the national chart. At that time, many organizers tried to book B.A.P for private events.

In 2013, the artists recorded two EPs, One Shot and Badman. The former climbed to the 3rd spot of South Korea Gaon Album Chart, came in 73rd on Japan Oricon Albums Chart and topped US World Albums Chart. Singles "Rain Sound", "One Shot", "Hurricane", "Coffee Shop", and "Badman" became hits. All of them made it into the top-40 of South Korea Gaon Digital Chart.
In February 2014, the band released its first LP, First Sensibility. It topped South Korea Gaon Album Chart and US World Albums Chart. The album came in 16th on the national Japanese chart. In South Korea, it sold 104,000 copies. Six thousand more were sold in Japan.
In June 2014, the artists presented a single album, B.A.P Unplugged 2014. Even though it was less successful than the LP, it still climbed to the 2nd spot of the national chart and sold about 30,000 copies.
In 2015, B.A.P recorded a new EP, Matrix. It topped South Korea Gaon Album Chart and came in third on US World Albums Chart. The songs "Take You There", "Blind", "Be Happy", "Monologue", and “Young, Wild & Free" turned into hits. The latter reached the 42nd spot of the official South Korean chart. It sold 45,000 copies.
In February 2016, the musicians presented one more EP, Carnival. It came in second on South Korea Gaon Album Chart and settled on the 48th spot of the Japan Oricon Albums Chart.
In March 2016, the artists recorded the fifth LP for the Japanese audience. They called it Best. Absolute. Perfect. The album came in third on the official Japanese chart. In August, B.A.P presented a new single album, Put 'Em Up, which climbed the third position of the South Korean Gaon Album Chart. At the end of the year, the musicians recorded a new LP, Noir. It came in second in South Korea, topped US World Albums Chart, and reached the 39th spot of the national Japanese chart.
The year 2017 was busy for the artists. They recorded a new album for the Japanese fans, Unlimited. It reached the 6th spot of Japan Oricon Albums Chart. For their South Korean audience, the musicians presented three single albums, Rose, Blue, and Ego. They reached the 3rd, 4th, and 3rd position of the national chart accordingly. Singles "Wake Me Up", "Honeymoon", and "Hands Up" became hits. All of them climbed to high spots of US World Albums Chart.
In March 2018, B.A.P recorded one more album for the band’s Japanese fans. They called it Massive. The LP sold 14,000 digital copies and came in 6th on Oricon Albums Chart
The group continues recording hits and performing live.
