Polo G

Polo G, born Taurus Tremani Bartlett, is an American rapper and songwriter from Chicago, Illinois. He was born on January 6, 1999, and grew up in the city's North Side area. Polo G’s early years were marked by hardship and tough living conditions. He spent much of his childhood in and out of juvenile detention centers and was later incarcerated at Cook County Jail for over a year. Music became his outlet during his time behind bars and he began writing and recording his own songs.

In 2018, Polo G began to gain notoriety with the release of his debut album, “Die a Legend.” The album featured the hit single, “Pop Out,” which peaked at No. 11 on the US Billboard Hot 100. The song helped to catapult Polo G to national fame and landed him a spot on the XXL Freshman Class of 2020.

Since his breakout success, Polo G has continued to release a series of hit singles and collaborate with some of the biggest names in hip-hop. His 2020 album, “The Goat,” debuted at No. 2 on the US Billboard 200 and further cemented his status as one of the most promising young artists in the industry.

Aside from his music career, Polo G is also known for his philanthropic efforts in his hometown of Chicago. In 2020, he launched a scholarship program for high school seniors in the city, aiming to help lessen the financial burden of college for students in need.
